One hot sunny day, Blackie and the snails had a big picnic in a field near the wood. Blackie ate too much and felt really sleepy. He closed his eyes but soon opened them again as he heard a beautiful sound.
Blackie couldn't see anybody so he asked the snails, “Can you hear anything?”
“Yes, we can hear a song,” they replied.
“Who is singing? “
“What song is it?”
“Where are they?” they all wondered.
The snails and Blackie followed the sound of the music into the wood and soon saw five colourful mushrooms sitting in a circle under a tree. "Can mushrooms sing?" Blackie asked. "Which one is singing?"
One of the snails answered, "Mushrooms can compose music and sing songs. All of them are singing now."
The mushrooms soon stopped singing and the tallest, biggest mushroom asked if Blackie and the snails would like to sing a song with them. "Oh, yes please," they all said. "But I'm not very good," said Blackie. "Don't worry," said the mushroom. "Sing and you will be happy."
Blackie sang and soon he knew the mushroom was right. Now he wasn't sleepy at all. That music made Blackie and the snails feel refreshed.
