Hello hello hello, and welcome to this session's Memory Book Committee! Alana and I are so very much excited to start this month's process of designing and compiling our amazing memory book. Per usual, please take note that SWC runs on an honor system; you know if you're not supposed to be here, and if you aren't a committee member, please refrain from posting in or stalking this forum. If you'd like to contribute to this session's memory book, feel free to use our suggestions and contributions forum, found here !

Whether or not you've participated in the past, please read through this entire post to familiarize yourself with this session's schedule.

Alana and I have decided to introduce a new role for the MBC this session: the Crows! A Crow is a host intern who learns how to run the MBC and help the hosts host. We’d like to welcome Liv and Kiara into this brand new role!

❀༉ Timeline + Tasks

The primary focus of the memory book committee is to create this session's memory book! Your consistent contribution is imperative to the success of this task, and your role can include gathering screenshots and data (leaders, cos, campers, MLTs, cabin wars, etc). However, our main task is to design the memory book! The ultimate goal is to reflect as much of the cabin in its pages as we can, whether that be incorporated cabin colors, fonts, and graphics, or adding little touches that connect back to the storyline. You're welcome to ask fellow committee members, as well as cabin leaders for feedback; you all should have received a link to the Canva (or you will should be receiving it shortly – if not, please let us know).

Soft deadlines will be posted throughout February and March in order to encourage participation and keep things flowing. Don't stress, these are just to boost motivation! If you have any questions about the new deadline system, feel free to contact any of us.

If you have any questions about your responsibilities as a committee member or about the following schedule, we’re always willing to help out!

- February 1 - 5: Theme Voting
- February 5 - 6: Header + Body Font Suggestions
- February 7 - 8: Header + Body Font Voting
- March: Designing can begin! Emphasis on the design rather than data collection at this point <3
- Mid-March: Most Likely To’s suggestions
- March: Finish most of the designing!
- March 7: Release cover contest
- March 18: Release cover voting
- March 28: Close cover voting
- March 25-29: Most Likely To’s voting
- Post-session: Finish up all designing & data input

Our goal is to release the memory book as soon as possible after results are shared, which may sound daunting, but we believe in you! Remember that SWC runs on UTC/GMT - our schedule will be coordinated using this timezone.

When campers sign up, they’re asked whether they always would like to be screenshotted, never would like to be screenshotted, or would like to be asked first. You can use control-f to easily search for a name. I’ll post the stipulations list in the next post <3

❀༉ Session Recap

For the past few sessions, the memory book has included a section called the session recap! This section includes events happening that are particular to the session, and fun occurrences throughout the month. There are four themes for the pages in this recap: cabin wars, daily team highlights, session-specific events, and a short summary of each cabin.

• Cabin wars - this section will be about cabin war statistics in particular, as well as new additions within cabin wars. We’ll need people to collect data on cabins for this section, so if you are interested in helping out, feel free to do so! Though anyone - even outside of the mbc - is welcome to help gather stats, as well.
  

• Cabin summaries - although there is always a list of cabins, and each cabin has their own cabin pages, we don’t really get an immersive description of every cabin’s respective storylines. In this section, each cabin will have a short description/blurb that summarizes the storyline to help future viewers (as well as those who didn’t participate in the session) understand what each of the cabins revolved around.
  

• DT highlights - this portion was updated slightly to include all daily team highlights, including fun dailies, weeklies, and other activities! We’d love to include screenshots and reactions, as well as whatever else seems to fit - it’s a flexible area, so we can figure out the specifics as we go <3
  

• Session-specific events - this section of the session recap will focus on some session-specific events that made it special. Perhaps mangoes started raining from the sky, or the hosts evaporated? The idea of this section is to fully encompass session-specific memories so that they can be remembered in the future.

❀༉ Subcommittees

Subcommittees will be back this month! Our current task delegations are outlined below. Currently there are no deadlines for any of the following, however, we will be posting frequent updates + reminders to complete certain things. If you have been assigned a page, please make sure that you complete it on time. If you need more assistance or an extension, please let us know asap! We're always here to help and support you <3

We need a few voluteers for the following tasks - please let us know if you'd be interested in helping out with these two tasks (along with designing cabin pages) when you fill out the “get to know you form” below.
- Screenshotter & Data Collector : This subcommittee will take the lead in finding memorable comments to add as screenshots or cabin quotes, as well as being responsible for collecting data during cabin wars, such as wars sent and completed by each cabin, as well as other fun statistics throughout the session.
- Session recap designer : This subcommittee will design each of the pages associated with all of the various sections of the session recap.

❀༉ Team Bonding
One thing we'd really like to work towards this session is building a stronger team bond by getting to know one another! Completing the MBC each session is no easy feat and collaboration is one of the most important aspects of this journey to make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. That being said, we encourage you guys to chat, joke around, and have some fun in the forum! We'll ocassionally most mini qotw's, games, or discussion prompts so feel free to participate!

Another logistics note— if you have any suggestions for header/body fonts, feel free to add them to the two pages at the start of the Canva already labeled for that purpose! We do ask that you have those in by February 5th , however, so we have time to vote on the fonts as well <333

Hi all!! I hope that you’re having a good week so far <33 I wanted to reach out and let you guys know that header and body font voting is now open! I have left a comment on the header font page, and one on the body font page, so if you could reply to those with your two favorite fonts for each, that would be incredible <33

hey! happy olympics to all who watch and on top of font voting being open, our memory book theme has been decided! our march 2026 theme will be… constellations ! more info will be out soon but for now make sure you vote for fonts! <3
