Splatoon [Official Topic]

Splatoon is a game series made by Nintendo. Here's the gist of it:

- You shoot ink
- You can turn into a squid and swim in said ink (you can even swim up walls!)
- 4v4 online multiplayer where you compete to cover more of the map with your color ink (or complete other objectives)
- Fully-fledged single-player campaigns
- Lots of different game modes, maps, weapons, gear, etc.
- Free new content added regularly

There are now three Splatoon games:

- Splatoon: released in 2015 for the Wii U
- Splatoon 2: released in 2017 for the Switch
- Splatoon 3: released in 2022 for the Switch

Nothing's changed too much since the first game, but that's because the core gameplay is so unique and awesome. You just have to play it.

Splatoon, in my opinion, is great. The idea of a shooter without any actual violence is fantastic to me, especially with a mom who is constantly protecting me from violence.

The gameplay mechanic of trying to cover area with your weapons rather than pointing and shooting people adds a whole new level to the fun. It challenges teams to work together to evenly attack the area rather than work on their own separate section of territory.

…and that's really all I have to say at the moment. I've only been playing Splatoon for the past ~3 hours, but I rate it 9/10.

this is a way to make a splattoon game
1: make the person
do this:

when green flag clicked

when this sprite clicked
play sound [ splat] until done

broadcast [ shoot]

:2 make a splat

when I receive [ shoot]

show
glide (1) secs to x: (98) y: (-50)

play sound [ splat] until done

broadcast [ splat effect]
3: make the splat effect


when I receive [ splat]
play sound [ boom splat]

4: make the gun
go to x: (-5) y: (67)

Splatoon is amazing. The aerospray is a bit OP though… but if you're good at weapons like the .52 gal or you're a charger it's easy to counter it.

I've changed my mind; Splatoon looks awesome. Too bad I missed the hype train. Oh well, I can always get the game. (The design for the female inkling is really radical.)

Haven't played the new update, but my sisters are playing it as I write this. Apparently the new game mode is really fun. :3

I don't have it, but I've seen gameplay, and even though it's awesome I frankly think there needs to be a way to coop with your friends.

BTW:
The Kraken Splat Roller seems to be broken if you use it right. So far, it seems like a pain to deal with. Especially if the person using it knows how to do that splashy jump smack thing.
