Notification when creating new account
I have seen too many questions asking the same thing- “How can I change my username?”.
My idea is to add a little note below the username input when someone is creating a new account that says it cannot be changed after you create the new user account. This will make the person think more about if they really want that username.
Here is a picture of what it might look like:

Support, though I think the note should use “create” instead of “confirm” as it could be mistaken for email confirmation, suggesting that you can change your username after you create the account but before you confirm the email address. (unless that's an actual feature I didn't know of)
