The Life of the Stories: Chapter One, Charming Castle.
CHARMING CASTLE
Clang! Whoosh! Clang! Clang! Was the sound that was heard from the other room. The boys thought Ashlynn Charming, Daughter of Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip Charming.
That day, their cousins, Rosa Charming, Daughter of Belle (aka Beauty) and Prince Adam Charming (aka Beast), Candace Charming, Daughter of Cinderella and Prince Chase Charming, and Sapphire Charming, Daughter of Snow White and Prince Henry Charming, are coming to visit Princess Aurora, who is queen now, and baby Audrey. Audrey is Aurora’s fourth child. Her first child is Prince Alex, second is Princess Ashlynn and third is Prince Aaron.
Right now, Ashlynn is in her room in Charming Castle, preparing for her cousins’ arrival. Alex and Aaron are playing with their swords in the other room, supervised by their father, King Phillip. Their mother, Queen Aurora was in the nursery with baby Audrey.
After five minutes preparing, and arguing to Francesca, her Wardrobe Mistress about not wearing ball gowns, Ashlynn went out of her room in a blue t-shirt with white clouds on it. She was wearing jeans embroidered with clouds. Then she went straight to the nursery.
Her mother was wearing a blue-sky dress and her sapphire tiara. She looked at Ashlynn from her blue-sky high heels, to her bareheaded head. Queen Aurora raised an eyebrow. Ashlynn sighed. “Mother, do I have to?” she asked. “You must, Ashlynn. Only this once. After you meet your aunts, you can take it off,” said Queen Aurora. Ashlynn sighed again and ran back to her room.
She was a natural at running in high heels. She opened the door to her room. She sighed. “Francesca, my tiara, please,” She said to Francesca as she went to sit down on her bed. Francesca went to Ashlynn’s walk-in closet and unlocked the tiara cupboard. She looked for Ashlynn’s sapphire tiara. She found it in a glass box.
She opened it and carefully took it out. She went to Ashlynn and placed it on her brown locks.
“My dear! You do look wonderful!” said Francesca, admiring the tiara. It was silver with blue sapphires. It was lovely on Ashlynn’s brown locks. “Thank you, Francesca,” she said.
Ashlynn quickly walked out of her room. She reached into her pocket and took out a few bobby pins. She secured her tiara onto her head, then she ran towards the nursery room, her hair trailing behind like a horse’s mane. When she reached the nursery, she shook her head and all her locks swung into place.
Queen Aurora yawned as Ashlynn came in. Even though the sleeping curse has ended years ago, she still tended to doze off at unpredictable times.
Ashlynn went to the cot Queen Aurora was leaning on. Inside, was a little baby with blonde locks and laughing blue eyes. She was a little tan with chubby cheeks and pudgy toes.
A ball will be held tomorrow in honor of Audrey Charming, and the rulers of nearby kingdoms and everyone in the kingdom will be invited.
That is why their cousins will come and stay for the rest of the autumn holidays at Charming Kingdom.
The other guests will be: Queen Jasmine and Aladdin of Agrabah, Queen Rapunzel and King Eugene of Corona, High King Peter the Magnificent, Queen Susan the Gentle, King Edmund then Just, and Queen Lucy the Valiant, Queen Anna and King Kristoff of Arendelle, and Queen Elsa of the Magic Forest.
Aurora’s Fairy godmothers, Flora, Fauna and Merriweather, will be invited too.
Suddenly, there was a sound of flapping wings and stomping hoofs outside.
Ashlynn quickly ran to the front door. Queen Aurora followed at a close pace, as she was gliding. As they reached the front door, Alex and Aaron were already outside, with King Phillip. Ashlynn went outside with her mother.
From the front door, they saw four unicorns carrying a midnight blue carriage, which contains Candace’s family, and four fire breathing dragons, carrying a red carriage, which contains Rosa’s family.
The footmen opened both carriages. As the blue one opened, Candace jumped out. She was wearing a blue-sky shirt and a blue skirt. After she jumped out, Candace quickly ran to Ashlynn, followed by her twin, Charles.
Ashlynn hugged Candace. After Candace and Charles, King Chase stepped out, and held out a hand for Queen Cinderella.
Meanwhile, Rosa’s family was already on their way towards them.
Rosa was wearing a white top with a red jacket and jeans embroidered with red flames. Ryan and Ronald, her brothers, wore the same.
As they reached their way to the main doors of the castle, another carriage swooped in.
This one was sky-blue and carried by four enormous swans. The carriage contained Sapphire’s family.
When the whole family was gathered at the front doors, there was a lot of chatting and welcoming. After that, they went inside.
Candace, Rosa and Sapphire followed Ashlynn to her room, some of the castle workers behind them, carrying their luggage. Ashlynn’s door was dark blue the color of the night skies with silver stars painted across it. Ashlynn Michelle Charming was carved in the middle. There was no doorknob.
Ashlynn pressed her hand to the black rectangle beside her door. It scanned her hand and the door magically swung open. Inside was a canopy bed, a mirrored wall, many bookshelves, a studying desk, a chandelier, a door to her walk-in closet, and a vanity desk filled with make-up, nail polish and flowers in vases. The ceiling was painted sky-blue with clouds and a sun, which seems to be moving. At night, the ceiling will change into the color of the night sky with silver stars and a crescent moon.
Ashlynn called, “Emily?”
Then, out of nowhere came a voice, “Yes, Princess Ashlynn?”
It was Ashlynn’s virtual assistant.
“Enter sleepover mode,” said Ashlynn.
Emily responded, “Affirmative.” Then, flash! The bedroom changed. Instead of just one canopy bed, there were many. Each with different colors of bed
spread. The chandelier flashed in different colors as every minute passed. “Amazing!” Rosa exclaimed.
After they all settled down, they went their separate ways.
The boys were at the playing fields, with their swords, watched by the kings. The kings, who were very athletic, also had a fencing match.
Of course, none of them were hurt.
And even if they were, the castle’s hospital wing was filled with magical cures.
There were the albino dragon’s flames, which can mend almost everything, phoenix tears that can be used to heal a snake’s bite, or any deep, dangerous, venomous cuts, and magical swan feathers, that can be used as a very powerful sleeping enchantment, that heals when you sleep.

Anyway, the queens went straight to the nursery, excited to see baby Audrey.
Sapphire’s mother, Snow White, also brought her baby, Harry, who was a year older than Audrey.
The princesses went to the castle library.
As she walked, Ashlynn thought I can’t wait until the autumn ends! I will be back in Fairy Academy!
It is a school run by Flora, Fauna and Merriweather. It is in the middle of the four kingdoms: Charming Kingdom (Sleeping beauty’s), Beauty Kingdom (Belle’s), White Kingdom (Snow White’s), and Ella Kingdom (Cinderella’s). It is in the Fairy Kingdom.
Every child whose parents, or parents, was mentioned in a story, are schooled there, to prepare for their stories.
Whenever the children are about 25 years old, there will be a ceremonial for their story to begin. The story will be the same as their parent’s story, only the roles will be their children.
The fairies will put a spell so that the environment will be as described in stories. The characters whose parent’s stories begin when they were born, will be changed into a baby again.
It’s like a time loop, only the roles will be different. For example, Ashlynn will take Aurora’s role. If the character has more children than necessary, the oldest will take the role.
Or, if the character has two daughters or two sons, their mother or father can choose who plays the role.
The unchosen one can live their own life, without a fairy-tale.
There is another option though. If the child refuses to live their fairy-tale, the fairy-tale will stop growing. If it has already been retold for 25 generations, the story will remain, fine, and it will not fade.
If it is unpopular, the story must be rewritten. If not, it will fade, and the characters will fade.
When they reached the library, they separated. Suddenly they heard a low growl. The growl seemed to be coming from behind Ashlynn.
Ashlynn simply said, “Misty, I’m reading,” and the growling stopped. There was a white tiger behind her. It roared something to her, and Ashlynn said, “No, it’s not dinner-time yet.” Another growl. “Yes.” Roar. “No, Misty. Go back to my garden, would you? Dinner’s still a few hours away.”
When they were born, Flora, Fauna and Merriweather, each gave a gift to them.
Ashlynn’s gifts are: Flora: To control plants. Fauna: No monster can harm her, and she can speak to any creature. Merriweather: She will have many talents. Sapphire’s gifts are: Flora: Beauty. Fauna: Courage. Merriweather: No curse shall harm her.
Rosa’s gifts are: Flora: Bravery. Fauna: She may speak to dragons. Merriweather: Loyalty.
Candace’s gifts are: Flora: Patience. Fauna: She may speak to all beasts. Merriweather: A kind heart.
“Whoa, Ash, you have a tiger?!” exclaimed Rosa. “Yeah. Birthday gift from Queen Jasmine,” Ashlynn said. “Run along now. And don’t eat people,” Ashlynn told Misty the tigress.
Misty ran off.
“I’m so excited to go back to Fairy Academy! You think there will be anyone new?” asked Candace after Misty had run off.
“There’s bound to be. Stories are popping up everywhere! The people from the Other World are being creative these days,” said Sapphire.
“What are you going to ride there? I’m riding Moonlight,” said Ashlynn. Moonlight is Ashlynn’s pegasus.
“I’m riding my dragon, Flare,” said Rosa. “My unicorn! Celestica,” said Candace “Adelaide, my swan,” said Sapphire.
“Children! Dinner!” called Candace’s mother, Cinderella. They all rushed into their rooms. On the way there, they spotted the boys. “Guess someone’s
getting scolded by mother,” muttered Candace.
The princesses laughed as they made way to join the boys. The boys were sweaty and dirty.
“You guys better hurry and shower first. We’ll buy you some time while we get changed,” said Ashlynn. “Thanks Ash,” said Charles as the princes ran inside the castle. The princesses took their time, walking smoothly.
