Using Extensions in Scratch

I read an article on the Scratch Wiki about importing extensions into scratch. You can read it here . But when i pasted a some javasript code it didnt work. How can i go about this?

The code from the extensions directory https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/470021/. I later read that i have to use a modified version of scratch. But which code sshould i pase if I want to use a custom extension in Scratch?
