It is structured in two parts. The first, theoretical, investigates literature in search of its concept, its definition and the constitutive elements that are part of its essence. Once it is confirmed that there is no consensus in this regard, both a definition and a panel of constitutive elements are proposed. The second part, empirical, identifies the different models that operate in practice and investigates whether, from a practical point of view, the model really influences business results and employment in a sample of selected companies, specifically at the industrial sector in the Corredor del Henares of Guadalajara during the management of the Great Recession crisis, between 2007 and 2016. The results of the investigation confirm its impact on both results and employment.
