Required Secondary Academic Records


Freshman applicants must submit official high school (secondary school) transcripts, mark sheets, diplomas, certificates, and national/external exam scores for courseworks for years 9-12 (or equivalent years). Academic records not issued in English must be in the original language and include a certified literal English translation prepared by the issuing school, Ministry of Education, Consulate/Embassy, Education USA, or a certified translation service. University of Houston-Clear Lake requires official transcripts, but will accept an uploaded copy of official transcripts for any schools outside of the U.S. in order to complete your application. Please note that we will require official copies of your final academic records should you be admitted.

After Admission

Prior to enrolling, students admitted to UH-Clear Lake are required to submit official final secondary school transcripts, diplomas, certificates, and national/external exam scores demonstrating the completion of secondary education for their country or international curriculum. Official academic records must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions at UHCL from the issuing institution's records by mail, through a secure electronic transcript service or in-person in sealed envelopes upon arrival to the United States.
