About Page access in the new Pages experience
Classic Page roles have been updated in the new Pages experience. Instead of Page roles, people can have Facebook access or task access to help manage a Page

Facebook access
People can have Facebook access with full control or partial control. They can switch into the Page and manage it on Facebook or by using other tools from Facebook. People with Facebook access with full control or partial control can manage the following:
Content:
Create, manage or delete any content on your Page like posts, Stories, and more. Apply for and access ways to manage rights to and potentially monetize your original content.
Messages:
Respond to direct messages as the Page in Inbox.
Comments:
Respond to comments on the Page and edit or delete existing comments made by the Page.
Linked Accounts:
Add, manage or remove linked accounts, such as Instagram.
Ads:
Create, manage and delete ads.
Insights:
Use Page, post and ad insights to analyze the performance of the Page.
Events:
Create, edit and delete events by the Page.
Removal and Bans:
Remove or ban people from the Page.
Additionally, people with Facebook access with full control can manage:
Settings:
Manage and edit all settings, such as Page information and deleting the Page.
Access:
Give or remove people’s Facebook or task access to the Page or linked Instagram account, including people with Facebook access with full control.
Keep in mind that if you choose to give Facebook access with full control to other people, they will have the same access as you. This means that they can give other people access to manage the Page, remove anyone from the Page (including you), or delete the Page.
Task access
People with task access can manage the Page from other management tools such as Meta Business Suite
, Creator Studio
, Ads Manager
, or Business Manager
. This means they can’t switch into the Page or manage it on Facebook. People with task access can manage the following:
Content:
Create, manage or delete any content on your Page like posts, Stories, and more. Apply for and access ways to manage rights to and potentially monetize your original content.
Messages and Community Activity:
Respond to direct messages as the Page in Inbox, comment, manage unwanted content, and report activity on the Page.
Ads:
Create, manage and delete ads, and other ads-related tasks.
Insights:
See how the Page, content, ads and other metrics perform.
Community Manager access
Community Managers have access to moderate the chat of the Page's live streams
. They can’t switch into the Page or manage it on Facebook. Community managers can moderate live chats through the following actions:
Deleting, or reporting comments.
Suspending users from live stream chat for 15 minutes.
Ban users from current live stream, or from all live streams on the Page.
Pin comments to the top of the live chat.

Manage Page access in the New Pages Experience
If you have Facebook access with full control of a Page, you can manage people’s Facebook access or task access to the Page. You can add, edit or remove someone’s Page access at any time. Learn more about access in the new Pages experience

You can't give Page access to a gray account
. If you’d like to give Page access to someone with a gray account, they should access the Page through their personal Facebook account or create a new account
. Then you can give the new account access to your Page.
Note: You need to switch into your Page
to manage Page access.

You can give someone Facebook access with full control or partial control. People with Facebook access with full control or partial control can switch into the Page and manage it on Facebook. If you give someone Facebook access with full control, this means that person can give access to other people, remove anyone from the Page (including you) or delete the Page. To give someone Facebook access to a Page in the new Pages experience:
1.
Log in to Facebook from a computer, then switch to your Page.
2.
Click your Page's profile picture in the top right to go to your Page.
3.
Click Settings & privacy
, then click Settings
.
4.
Click Page setup
, then click View
next to Page access
.
5.
Next to People with Facebook access
, click Add New
.
6.
Click Next
, type the name or email address of the person you want to give Facebook access, then click their name.
7.
From here, you can choose to give the person Facebook access with full control or partial control:

Scroll down, then click Give Access

To give Facebook access with full control:
Scroll down, click
to allow this person to have full control, then click Give Access
.
8.
Type your Facebook password, then click Confirm
.
The person will receive an email to accept your invitation to access your Page.

People with task access can manage the Page from other tools such as Facebook Business Suite, Creator Studio, Ads Manager, or Business Manager. This means they can’t switch into the Page or manage it on Facebook. Learn more about task access

Log in to Facebook from a computer, then switch to your Page.
2.
Click your Page's profile picture in the top right to go to your Page.
3.
Click Settings & privacy
, then click Settings
.
4.
Click Page setup
, then click View
next to Page access
.

Next to People with task access
, click Add New
.
6.
Click Next
, type the name or email address of the person you want to give task access to the Page, then click their name.
7.
Click
to select the features you want this person to manage, then click Give Access
.
8.
Type your Facebook password, then click Confirm
.
The person will receive an email to accept your invitation to access your Page.

Log into Facebook, then click your profile photo in the top right.

to a Page, you can view your access on Facebook.
To view your Page access on Facebook:

Log in to Facebook from a computer.
2.
At the top, click
, then click Switch Profile

3.
Click See all profiles
, then select the Page you want to switch into.
4.
Click your Page name in the left menu.

next to your name, then click View Access

. You’ll still have access to many of the same features to manage your professional presence, build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers. Your content, insights, ads, Likes and followers will automatically transfer when your Page updates.
When you change your notification settings for a Page you help manage, the notification settings of others who help manage the Page won't be affected. Others who work on the Page will still get notifications about the Page based on the settings they've chosen.
If you've turned on notifications in your Page settings and still aren't receiving any notifications, it may be because you turned off notifications on your mobile device. Try tapping Settings
, then Notifications
on your mobile device and make sure your notifications for Facebook are turned on.
If you have Facebook access
to a Page, follow the instructions below to manage your Page notification settings. If you have task access
to a Page, you can only manage settings for Page notifications
from your main profile.

Log into Facebook from a computer.

Log into Facebook, then click your profile photo in the top right.
3.
Click See all profiles
, then select the Page you want to switch into.

In the top right, click your Page photo, then click Settings & Privacy
.

Select which notifications you want to receive on Facebook.

When someone visits your Page, they may see a Related Pages
section at the top of your Page, which may list Pages similar to yours. When you turn off these recommendations, your Page will also stop being recommended when people visit Pages that are similar to yours.
You'll need to be an admin or have Facebook access

in the top right of your profile and select your Page.

When you connect your Facebook Page and Instagram account
:
You can choose to allow people with Facebook and task access to read and respond to Instagram comments and Direct messages from the Facebook Page Inbox. Learn how to manage your shared inbox.
People with Facebook and task access to the Page can create Instagram ads from Facebook and manage comments on those ads.
Anyone logged into the connected Instagram account can share Instagram posts to your Page.
People with Facebook or task access to a Page can view and manage customers’ Instagram contact information in the contacts tab on Facebook.
What happens when you connect your Facebook Page and Instagram Business account
If you connected your Facebook Page to an Instagram business account:
People with Facebook access with full control can share Facebook Page posts to Instagram.
People with Facebook access can add to your Page’s story from Instagram.
People with Facebook or task access with advertising permissions can promote posts and create Instagram ads using Instagram Promote.
People with Facebook access and anyone logged into the connected Instagram account can add a button to Instagram for booking appointments
on Facebook.
If the Page is enrolled with Facebook's Charitable Giving Tools, anyone with access to the Page can let people add donation stickers
to Instagram Stories.
