How do I block certain words from appearing in comments on my Facebook Page?
Classic Pages on Facebook are updating to the new Pages experience
. You’ll still have access to many of the same features to manage your professional presence, build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers. Your content, insights, ads, Likes and followers will automatically transfer when your Page updates.
If you help manage a Facebook Page, you may choose to block certain words from appearing in comments on your Page. When people include a word you've blocked in a comment, we’ll hide the comment so that it doesn’t appear on your Page.
You can also block comments with profanity. Learn how to turn the profanity filter on and off for your Page
.
If you have Facebook access
to a Page, you can can choose up to 1,000 keywords in any language (example: words, phrases or emojis) to block from comments on your Page.
We’ll also automatically hide variations of the keywords that you want to block so that the variations don’t contribute to the 1,000 keyword limit. Variations include common misspellings, plurals, abbreviations and words that use numbers or symbols. For example:
If you block the word “tree,” we’ll automatically block variations of that word such as: TREE, t.r.e.e., tr33, treee and #tree. This means that you don’t have to include these variations in your keyword list.
If we find keyword variations in your list, you can choose to remove them so that they aren’t included in your keyword limit.
Keep in mind: If you have task access
to a Page, you can choose keywords to block in Meta Business Suite
. We’ll automatically hide variations for keywords that you add, but you won’t be able to review or remove variations.

What Most Relevant means on a Facebook Page post
When you see Most relevant
above the comments on a post, it means that comments you see are ranked, and you're more likely to see high-quality comments that are relevant to you. This means that you're more likely to see the following at the top:
Comments or reactions from your friends.
Comments from verified profiles and Pages
.
Comments with the most likes and replies.
This personalized order is only available for comments on Page posts and profiles with a large number of followers. If a Page manager or profile owner has turned off comment ranking
, the Page or profile will display post comments chronologically by default. Learn more about how Facebook ranks comments and posts
.
Change the order of comments on a post

To change the order of comments, tap the current comment ordering option in the bottom left of the post (example: Newest comments
, All comments
, Most relevant
). From here, select a new option:
Newest comments
to show all comments, with the newest comments first.
All comments
to show all comments, including potential spam. The most relevant comments will appear first.
Most relevant
to show friends’ comments and the most engaging comments first.
