About This Mobile Website
My name is Erik Wunstell. The 1980 founder
& current director of a scientific & educational,
eco-tech, non-profit organization called
The Earth Ecology
Foundation.

It was, and remains, the first ecological organization to study man-made, human environments...for the benefit of people...instead of solely, wilderness environments, as remains the central focus of other eco-organizations.

I moved to West Vegas twenty years ago, in 1997, with plans to open a science park & disaster-recovery & research-center for the Southwest USA .

That didn't happen. Instead I became a Vegas Taxi driver, driving 12 hours nightly, from 1999-2009.

I drove over 50,000 carloads of people. That's over 150,000 passengers - all with questions
about Las Vegas that I hoped I had answers to.

It's in my nature to research things and
provide people with free information. It's a
hippie thing. A partly inborn & environmentally
inbred need to keep people sharp & aware.

So. As a former Vegas cabbie, a life-long librarian, information provider and old school hippie - I set out to make this website a source of relevant news about the area West of the Las Vegas Strip - all the way to Summerlin.

Here, you can explore daily life in America's youngest, newest, funnest & funniest city. Your home and mine.

I hope & think you'll find something useful,
here, in this city neighborhood-guide,
whether you're a new or long time
West Vegas resident.
