The Tokyo Auto Salon isn’t just a showcase for Japan’s automakers. Aftermarket companies and tuner shops are at the very core of the annual show, often bringing more exciting products than the OEMs. And after admittedly somewhat disappointing debuts from Toyota and Subaru this year, the team at Pandem Rocket Bunny have something to cheer us up. Meet the Rocket Bunny Racing R32 GT-R kit for the Suzuki Twin.

For those who aren’t up to date on their kei car history, the Suzuki Twin is a rather adorable hatchback produced from 2003 to 2005. While it’s generally nothing to write home about from an enthusiast perspective, the Twin was actually the first kei car in Japan to offer a hybrid powertrain. That said, the Twin is most loved for its bubbly design language.

Rocket Bunny has gone ahead and removed all of that recognizable cuteness, replacing the body panels with R32-inspired ones. The end result is not only adorable in its own way, but it does a very good job of capturing the aescetics of the legendary Skyline model.

As you might expect, the modifications are not exactly easily reversible. The kit requires quite a bit of cutting to the original body, as well as reworking of the inner fenders. The kit also arrives unpainted, which means a respray for the entire project will be in order. (Luckily, kei cars don’t have much real estate to worry about in the paint booth.)

All of the standard hardware to install the bodywork is also included in the base price, which translates to about $4200. The kit is currently listed as out of stock, but the brand urges interested customers to keep an eye on the page linked here . I, for one, adore this little thing, and would love to have one parked alongside an Autozam-turned-F40 .
