Off Road Expo Rolls Into Sisters Oregon This Season
Backcountry Offroad Expo Comes to Sisters High School August 1 and 2
The Backcountry Offroad Expo will set up at Sisters High School in Central Oregon on August 1 and 2, bringing the off-road and outdoor community together for a weekend built around vehicles, gear, education, camping, and connection. Johnson RV is the presenting partner for the consumer-facing trade show. The lineup covers off-road vehicles, adventure vans, trucks, trailers, rooftop tents, campers, outdoor equipment, builders, brands, and local businesses. Attendees can walk through different setups, meet the people behind the builds, and shop the For Sale vehicle section if they are in the market for a rig of their own.
What Is Planned for the Weekend
Beyond the displays, the event runs food trucks, live music, community activities, a raffle, a DIY contest, and educational talks and demos throughout both days. Camping is available onsite for Friday and Saturday nights. All proceeds from the raffle go directly to the Humane Society. Founder Merrisa Petersen said the show was built to feel more like a gathering than a traditional trade show. "Oregon has one of the strongest outdoor communities in the country, and Sisters felt like a natural fit for Backcountry Offroad Expo," she said. "We're excited to bring together people who love exploring, learning, and spending time outside, while creating a place where everyone feels welcome no matter what they drive or how they adventure."
Post-Expo Trip and Admission Details
The weekend does not have to end when the gates close. BOE Encore is a guided adventure run with Backland Adventures that includes two nights of camping and a full day exploring the backroads of the Deschutes National Forest. The optional post-expo trip is open to all vehicles and gives attendees another day in Central Oregon alongside the community.
