Milk Bar Is Launching Its First-Ever Cookie Dough Cone — And It’s Topped With 24K Gold
The limited-edition Get That Dough Cone is loaded with cookie dough soft serve, cookie dough chunks, and edible gold, plus there’s a Labor Day Weekend deal.

Milk Bar has made a bunch of memorable desserts over the years, but its newest release may be one of the most interesting yet. The dessert brand has teamed up with Chime for a limited-edition creation called the Get That Dough Cone, and the name is pretty literal.
This is Milk Bar's first-ever cookie dough cone, and they definitely did not hold back on the cookie dough.
The Get That Dough Cone officially launches Friday, September 4, and will be available for a limited time at participating Milk Bar locations in New York City, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. It will also be available through on-demand delivery in those markets and nationwide through Milk Bar's website.
And if cookie dough is usually the part of the dessert you go after first, there is a lot here to get excited about.
What's in Milk Bar's Get That Dough Cone?
The Get That Dough Cone starts with a cone filled with cookie dough soft serve. It is then topped with chunks of cookie dough and finished with edible 24-karat gold. So yes, it is basically cookie dough on cookie dough with gold on top.
Milk Bar is known for taking familiar desserts and giving them an unexpected twist, and this one definitely fits. The brand was founded by pastry chef Christina Tosi in 2008 and became famous for creations like Cereal Milk, Compost Cookies, and Milk Bar Pie.
Cookie dough feels like an especially natural direction for Milk Bar, which makes it a little surprising that this is actually the brand's first cookie dough cone.
The collaboration with Chime takes the idea one step further by building the entire dessert around the phrase "get that dough." There is the actual cookie dough, of course, but the partnership also connects it to Chime's financial products and the idea of treating yourself while still keeping your larger money goals in mind. I have to admit, adding edible gold to the top really commits to the theme.

Get that Dough Cone
There's a special Labor Day Weekend price
The Get That Dough Cone is normally $12 and will be available from September 4 through October 2, while supplies last.
There is also a special deal happening over Labor Day Weekend. From Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7, the cone will be priced at $8.88 for everyone. The $8.88 price is a reference to 888, an angel number often associated with abundance and financial luck.
Chime members can get an even bigger discount. Members can purchase the Get That Dough Cone for $5 at participating Milk Bar bakery locations throughout the promotion, while supplies last.
Chime Prime members who have selected restaurants as their 5% cash-back category can also potentially earn cash back when purchasing the cone with an eligible Chime Card. There are a surprising number of money references packed into one ice cream cone.
It fits right into "little treat" culture
The collaboration is also leaning into something that has become a huge part of food culture lately: the little treat.
You know the logic. Maybe you are not buying a new car today, but you are absolutely stopping for an iced coffee.
Milk Bar and Chime are playing with that idea by suggesting that enjoying something small does not necessarily have to compete with larger financial goals. The Get That Dough Cone is essentially the dessert version of that mentality: a fun splurge that is intentionally framed as a small treat.
And really, a cookie dough soft serve cone covered in cookie dough chunks and edible gold is about as committed to the concept of a treat as you can get.
When and where to get it
The Milk Bar x Chime Get That Dough Cone launches September 4 and will stick around through October 2, while supplies last.
You can find it at participating Milk Bar bakeries in New York City, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., as well as through on-demand delivery in those markets. Milk Bar is also offering the dessert nationwide through its website.
The regular price is $12, with the $8.88 Labor Day Weekend promotion running September 5 through September 7 and the $5 Chime member offer available at participating bakeries during the promotion.
Between the cookie dough soft serve, cookie dough chunks, and literal gold on top, this may be one of Milk Bar's richest limited-edition releases yet.
And if you have ever eaten half the cookie dough before the cookies even made it into the oven, this one probably does not need much explaining.
