The Gathering Place is an event space in a prime location on Shepherd Mountain just a mile up the hill from the Pennybacker Bridge Overlook. From the top of the hill, you can see the river in the foreground and downtown Austin at a distance. The view is stunning! The Gathering Place is nestled on the campus of Shepherd of the Hills Christian Church in a serene and beautiful setting centrally located in Austin. Our capacity is 150 guests in the primary venue spaces. We can cater to your individual needs whether it be a: milestone personal event, youth group/class, hobby social group, office suite with a break room, a neighborhood or business conference room. The venue is home to events planned and produced by student organizations as well as University departments attracting the campus and surrounding Austin community. This space is for use only for registered student organizations and departments at The University of Texas at Austin.
