At 886 Consulting, we help professionals navigate high-pressure situations with confidence, clarity, and composure. Founded by Jeffrey G. Scholz — a retired Senior Investigator with nearly three decades in law enforcement and nearly 25 years with the New York State Police — 886 delivers communication and de-escalation training trusted by organizations across 17 states since 2022. Our signature program, From Crisis to Calm™ (FC2C), gives teams practical, repeatable skills to recognize concerning behavior early, communicate with intention, set boundaries without escalation, and guide encounters toward safer outcomes. Every course is built on Professional Sincerity®, a proven approach to communication that emphasizes calm leadership, emotional regulation, and authentic connection — even in the most challenging encounters. We train law enforcement, security, social services, healthcare, education, faith communities, and customer-facing teams of all kinds. If your organization deals with difficult interactions, we can help you handle them safer, smoother, and with greater confidence.
