Pets First Veterinary Hospital

Pets First Veterinary Hospital is a locally owned urgent care and emergency hospital in Thousand Oaks built to provide affordable, accessible, high-quality care for pets when they need help most. We’re equipped to handle most urgent and emergency case types — from rattlesnake bites (with antivenin on site) and trauma to vomiting/diarrhea, respiratory distress, GDV, and everything in between — with same-day X-rays, ultrasound, and in-house bloodwork, including coagulation testing. We focus on being ready for the pets who need urgent attention now, and collaborate with/support our local general practitioner veterinarians. As part of that commitment, we do not perform routine vaccines, spay/neuter, or elective procedures so that we can stay available for urgent cases, overflow care, and affordable hospitalization when families and referring vets need us most.
