At the Y, people from all backgrounds build connections through fitness, sports and shared interests.
The Wilmington Family YMCA is a nonprofit association that serves more than 8,000 individuals on an annual basis. It offers a range of sports and after-school care programs and conducts summer camps. The association provides services for children and adults. The Wilmington Family YMCA also offers swimming lessons and wellness programs. It organizes youth fitness and group exercise classes. In addition, the organization conducts several sports activities that include basketball, wrestling, soccer and volleyball. Operational for over 120 years, the Wilmington Family YMCA organizes events for families, youths and teenagers. It also has an aquatics club and provides membership opportunities.
Smart Start of New Hanover County shares with the other citizens of New Hanover County a common concern for and commitment to the welfare and future success of our youngest children. As part of a statewide early childhood Initiative, Smart Start of New Hanover County serves as a local leader in developing a comprehensive, collaborative approach to serve the needs of all children, birth to 5, in New Hanover County.
