First Christian Church of DeSoto seeks to fulfill its mission before God by meeting the following three goals: Develop a better understanding of our relationship with God by centering our lives around God through worship and Christian education. Increase our commitment to outreach in our communities by tithing a portion of our total giving to outreach and opening our facilities to outside organizations and involvement in our community. Cultivate true communion within our church family through contact with our homebound members and through Elder Care of our flocks.
We believe that God is amazing and that there is nothing better than learning to walk through life with and for him. He is there for us on our best days, and He doesn't leave us when it feels like everything is falling apart. He encourages us and challenges us and gives us a purpose that is worth giving everything we have for. What makes it even better is that we get to learn and grow together. As a community of disciples, we are all on the journey of discovering and learning. As we make our way down that road, we do it together. None of us are perfect. None of us have it all together. Prestonwood Baptist Church is one of the largest and influential churches in North America. This sprawling church houses a worship center, a school, fitness center, library and several sporting facilities. Apart from offering religious services, the Prestonwood Baptist Church strives for the betterment of its community and always conducts sermons, workshops and programs to achieve this goal. It also has specially designed rooms for educating and training children with special needs. The Centre @ GracePlace Fellowship Centre serves to foster inclusive community participation by providing a family-oriented setting for arts, education, recreation, celebration, spirituality, and locally based human services to increase opportunity for personal and collective growth in our community.
