The Community Mental Health Authority is a public mental health agency that serves the residents of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties in Michigan. It offers a range of services and supports to children and adults with mental illness, emotional disturbances, developmental disabilities and substance use disorders. The center offers clinical and family support, respite and foster care, crisis intervention, assertive community treatment, psychiatry and inpatient treatment services. It also offers correctional assessment and treatment, coordination, adult vocational and residential, and individual, group and family therapies. The Community Mental Health Authority has been operational since 1964 and is headquartered in Lansing, Mich.

Ailing residents of Mid-Michigan turn to Sparrow Health System for care. The health system's hospitals include Sparrow Carson Hospital, Sparrow Clinton Hospital, Sparrow Ionia Hospital, and starting Oct. 1, 2019, Sparrow Eaton Hospital, along with the Lansing-based Sparrow Hospital. The health system also operates dozens of satellite clinics, a long-term-care center, a hospice care provider, medical equipment rental unit, and athletic club. Sparrow Health got its start in 1896 when a group of women set out with $400, a house on Ottawa Street (in Lansing, Michigan), and a mission to care for the sick.
The Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA), the Area Agency on Aging for Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties, was founded in 1974 as a Consortium of the three counties and the cities of Lansing and East Lansing. TCOA's mission is to promote and preserve the independence and dignity of the aging population. TCOA helps older adults (primarily age 60 and over) and their families and caregivers access programs and benefits, improve their health, live independently, and remain active in their communities. TCOA embraces a Person-Centered Philosophy that focuses on how a person wants to live their life and honoring their preferences.
