Founded in 1865, The Children's Study Home is an organization of professionals and volunteers that serves at-risk children, youth and families through educational, residential and social services. It serves individuals who have experienced abuse and neglect in several forms, including sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, severe neglect and struggle with recovering from the traumatic events. The Children's Study Home works with the departments of children and families, elementary and secondary education and early education and care. It operates an elementary school that serves students with special needs and is approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The Children's Study Home is located in Springfield, Mass.
