tripadvisorQuite an almost amazing experience. The knight armor exhibit is really cool. Def gotta check out all the paintings, and there are a lot! The mummy exhibit is really cool.
MoreOn entering the museum I asked the girl at the admissions desk for a map. This annoyed her. She told me that they don't have maps and that I would have to scan the QR code on her desk and then I'd have a map on my phone. The staff on the floor was hard to identify as they have no dress code. In fact, most were dressed in drag or grunge. HOWEVER I am quick to add that I did get a lot of help from a staff member named Caleb (who was neither in drag or grunge). I asked Caleb for directions and he actually left his lunch, got up, and showed me the way to the gallery I wanted to see. Caleb is a true professional, a gentlemen, and a credit to the Worcester Art Museum
MoreWe had the pleasure of visitng the Worcester Art Museum this past weekend (May 15th 2026). We so enjoyed seeing the Roman Fresco and the medieval room. The european art was extensive and very engaging to look at as well as the modern are (An original Warhall and Pollak). But the most impressive area was the armor and armory exhibit. Wow, such a fascinating exhibit. So much to take in. I liked the window displays with varous scenes that changed and were animated. Thas was very cool. The speical exhibit on weather very intersting. I ejoyed looking at the etchings and some of the comentary and humor built into them. If you like art and are looking for something to do in town, I'd highly reccomend you visit this museum.
MoreThis is a must visit if you are at all into arms and armor - two galleries FULL of well displayed arms and armor from around the world and throughout history! I particularly appreciated the collection of Asian carved jade/jadeite and the complete Chapter House from 12th century France. A nice collection of Roman mosaics and other ancient artifacts.
MoreDon’t sleep on the WAM, the new Arms and Armor exhibit was one of a kind. The museum also has a diverse collection of art pieces and artifacts. The large European art collection is a personal favorite.
