The Quality Inn Downtown in Mobile, AL, was the worst motel experience I have ever had. The bathtub in the first room we were given was disgusting and the rest of the room was not much better. After going back to the lobby, the lady explained that they had just done some repairs and apparently it hadn't been cleaned. The 2nd room we were given was moderately better but still in very poor shape. There were only 2 outlets that worked in the room, one for the tv and the other for the lamp, so to charge our phones you had to unplug the lamp. The room given to our friends was not any better and they had to request a different one also. This motel is very run down and unclean. We had several other guests ask about our room and they also mentioned the outlets and some said their TVs did not work at all. We would have moved to a different hotel but there were none available, so we were stuck. Thankfully it was only for one night.

Nasty place. Hinges are missing on the entrance door. Had to get a strong man to even get it open. Bathrooms are disgusting. I know why it's so cheap at mardi gras. Not worth it, pay extra somewhere else.

TV was not working (it had no signal), telephone was not working (connector on the end of the cable was broken), after flushing toilet tank was refilling for 30 minutes to be able to flush again, ceiling in the shower has number of cracks and big hole, shower stall's wall liner has wide crack, water was not draining from bathtub, sink has no plug, room's floor has missing tiles, floor was dirty, long black hear was on heardryer, thermostat was not working, it looked like it has no power connection.

Nothing quality about this Quality Inn. I would give it zero stars if it was possible. Booked this online but it's nothing like the photos on their website. Checked in the staff was friendly, went to the room 412, opened the door and it immediately smelled of mold. It was not cleaned and was just truly nasty. Could not stay. Checked out and walked across the street to the Holiday Inn. Do not book this hotel!! Took some photos and they don't show how bad it truly was.

Mirrors & art peeling; 2 rusty lamps; fridge not cleaned out; 45 min for hot water; no bath towels; tv not working; handicap room not available as stated); elevator closest to our room on the 4th floor not working.Breakfast provided, but limited selection & had to hold button for toaster to work.Front desk staff extremely friendly; located in historic area close to cathedral (Basilica of the Immaculate Conception), Veteran's Memorial Park & the Mobile Carnival Museum.
