tripadvisorA nice place to stay whilst in Boston.Very handy for the T line which can take you almost anywhere in town. The rooms were large and very clean. Nice and quiet at night which meant we could sleep off our jet lag.Staff were very helpful and friendly.A free shuttle bus ride from Logan airport to Back Bay station.
MoreAs someone who has been in a hotel 65+ tines this year, (all for leisure), I am a little taken aback by whst I saw this weekend Problems started immediately upon check-in when I found out that the Westin Club Lounge which I paid extra for, is only open in the morning. No evening service on weekends. ZERO mention of that on the website. Desk clerk completely unhelpful...just told me, oh its been that way for a whileHad to now haggle with her to change the rate to Stay for Breakfast which was a different price.Major mouse problem in the lobby. Saturday evening observed 3-4 mice chasing each other around without a care in the world. My son ordered Room Service Sunday morning. Food is delivered in a shopping bag and in To-Go packages.Really? In an (alleged) 4 star hotel??Note to Management.....Covid is over and it's not 2020 anymore.Inexcusable! On Sunday morning I went for breakfast alone. Guy working the desk looked up my name & room number but didnt kmow the difference between a Stay For Breakfast credit and a Platinum credit. At least 7 or 8 Fat Free milks on ice on the buffet expired yesterday. Told my server who was so disinterested that the expired milks were still there 40 min later.Inexcusable (again)Had late 2 pm checkout with my Gold Status, yet Housekeeping still came banging on the door to see when we're leaving.Between the disinterested and misinformed employees, not sure if they need new staff or more likely new Management to train and motivate staff but either wsy, this is not a place I would want to stsy under any circumstances.
MoreI planned to write this review after check-out, but I decided to share my experience right away. We usually stay at the Marriott, but on a Marriott employee's recommendation last time we stayed, we decided to try the Westin. The bed in our room was comfortable, which I appreciated; however, I found the rooms to need a refresh. The rooms are clearly dated and do not feel very clean. The price point says premier, but the accommodations say otherwise. This is our last night, and we just had an unsettling experience. We spotted a mouse in the lobby. My son responded, “Time for me to go back to my apartment.” The manager's reaction suggested it was no big deal, which surprised me. I have stayed in many hotels, some not very desirable, but I've never encountered a rodent. I hope the hotel can address the cleanliness and maintenance concerns of guests.Because I was surprised by how dated our room was, I looked at the reviews after we checked in, and the negative reviews match my experience.
MoreAfter a 10 day leaf peeping tour thru Montreal, Vermont and New Hampshire, we ended our trip in Boston with a stay at The Westin Copley Place. From the moment we checked into the hotel, the representative was incredibly friendly and helpful with our early arrival and provided a wonderful room upgrade based on our AmEx benefits package. We also had our complimentary breakfast with Irene Yeung in the 5th floor club area and she was so lovely! She even remembered both our names the second morning! Amazing!!! And we also enjoyed happy hour both days with Tia and the other gentleman who were equally friendly and helpful with things to do in the city! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Just one suggestion… all front desk representatives become better informed about how the AmEx $100 property credit works. We were told it would cover ANY balance (including destination/resort fee) so we made sure to leave enough unused to cover this fee, then upon checking out learned the $100 credit WILL NOT cover those fees.
MoreHad a great stay at this perfectly located hotel. The room was very comfortable. Bed was great and outstanding views. I must say the highlight ofour stay was the club floor. It was extremely clean very appetizing and the food was delicious. Definitely worth the money but I must say the staff on the club floor was exceptional. I must mention karla, Chen, Tia, Fred, and of course Merna. I would highly recommend this Hotel.
