Reviews
tripadvisorVery poor experience. They cancelled my reservation on the arrival date. The hotel staff said this is because they tried my credit card to charge the reservation and the card was blocked, even though the reservation was free cancel and I have selected to pay at the property. They just made the decision on their own to cancel my room on the same day of arrival just because they thought I will not arrive and wanted to sell the room for a higher price.I had to find a room for an entire week of stay and all places were fully booked across the city thus I was forced to book a airbnb in a very bad neighbourhood. Absolutely negative experience. I will never ever book with Hilton hotels anymore.
MoreWe stayed at this DoubleTree before getting on a cruise for 7 days. We arrived at this DoubleTree to spend the night before our cruise left the next morning. We asked Emily if we could leave our car there while we were on the cruise ship and pick it back up after the cruise. Emily was extremely helpful to us in the fact that she advised us to go to Airport Parking Reservations. She explained that if we paid ahead for parking we would get a discount. Airport Parking Reservations was easy to use and I was able to prepay for parking at the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Bayside prior to our arrival. We parked our car right outside the front door which could easily be seen by the Front Desk. Emily went out of her way to make sure we had a pleasant stay at this DoubleTree and when we returned, a shuttle came to pick us up at the terminal within minutes of calling them. Since one of the couples was handicapped, Emily also arranged for a handicap van to pick them up and paid for this service! The hotel was very clean and comfortable! The restaurant had a good menu and the food for dinner and breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend this DoubleTree and if you need any special arrangements, please talk to Emily! She was awesome to deal with!
MoreBased on our experience, I'd recommend ignoring the majority of bad reviews as they seem quite unfair. The rooms were comfy and clean, but yes, a little dated. The hotel was quiet and the customer service was great. You can easily get into downtown Boston in 20 minutes as well. Would highly recommend!
MoreVery disappointed with this Hilton property. The hotel feels old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Multiple things in the room were broken or not working properly, and it was clear the property has not been taken care of the way you would expect from Hilton standards. What made the experience even worse was the front-line customer service. Staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and showed very little concern about the issues. Overall, the stay felt neglected and far below expectations. Definitely not the quality or experience I expected from a Hilton property.
MoreWe stayed over the Boston Marathon weekend and overall had a good experience at this hotel. Prices for hotels closer to downtown were extortionate and this was a much more reasonable price. It’s only 5 minutes walk to the T which was very handy. On our first morning, breakfast was a disaster. I don’t know whether they were short staffed or not but some of my family members had to wait over an hour to order and get their food. The guy behind the counter was extremely apologetic and you could see he was trying his best to keep everyone happy while balancing many jobs at once. This was our only real problem while staying- every other morning breakfast was great. William was especially kind to us and would always stop to chat with us, as well as Terrence the security guard. All of the other staff were extremely friendly (apologies I didn’t get some of their names), and nothing was too much effort for them. We had our 8 month old with us and they were extremely attentive to him and always asked if we needed anything. Housekeeping were attentive in our room and always left us with clean towels, bedding, tea, coffee etc. Overall we had a really pleasant stay.
