Fresh figs good. But same size box at Whole Foods is $4.99. Formaggios is $13.95. Taste absolutely equal.

If you are looking for unusual, hard-to-find culinary items, Formaggio Kitchen is the place. Specializing in gourmet cheeses both domestic and international, this small shop is crammed full of jams, breads, candies, spices, all of it top quality, very little available at chains like Williams Sonoma. Their wine selection is carefully chosen to represent the best varietals, and their onsite personnel are extremely knowledgeable. Both shops in the Boston area are highly visited by both local patrons as well as customers like me who travel some distance. I have enjoyed their cheeses, wines, and jams. They also prepare full gourmet meals on premises for takeout.

This market is an absolute must when I go up to Boston. The selection of cheese is so fantastic, complimented by a staff that really knows about their products. I know that I can walk in and say ... Hi I am looking for a raw sheep or goat cheese that's hard, smooth, and full flavored out come the samples with discussions of its origin the cheese maker and a plethora of information all wile you taste. Follow that up with a selection of wine, chocolates, pastas, honey, fruits, teas of course fresh bread and even flowers, plus many many more items of interest. I always bring home a selection some old favorites and a few new contenders. YUM YUM YUM. If I must eat minimal cheese this is where I want it from. Taste gasm.! I know they have a NYC location & I live in CT but still I love the shop in Cambridge.

Cheese, baked goods, some fresh produce and beverages. The store itself is pretty cute and a nice little hipster sort of place to buy some groceries.

I return here time and again when I am in Cambridge. The knowledge of the staff and quality of the products justify the prices any day of the week
