Le Méridien Cambridge features contemporary architecture with high-tech decor. Moving sculptures decorate the lobby while the elevators, with their neon blue lights, showcase exposed circuitry. The contemporary theme continues in the rooms, the furniture has circuit-board details and framed New Yorker-style cartoons grace the walls of the bathrooms. The hotel is home to Sydney Grille.

tripadvisorLe Meridian is Tired with a capitol T. The carpets in the halls are dirty, stained and obviously have not been changed (like the decor) since the place was built. The rooms are clearly not maintained well as evidenced by the toe nail clipping and partial power bar I found on the carpet. The staff downstairs seems fine and friendly but when you got ten people waiting to check in, you need a someone to help out. This place is just adequate and nothing more, which is unfortunate with their surge pricing you can spend way over $500 on a busy weekend and its definitely not worth that much. The location is good, some nice restaurants nearby, you can catch the bus over to Newbury street or to Harvard square, the Red line can take you downtown, so that's nice.
MoreStayed here for 2 nights while visiting my daughter. It’s a really nice location, check-in was friendly, and everyone I met at the hotel was very friendly and kind. The workout area was small, but the doorman told me that we were in the process of renovating it. The bed was super comfortable in the bathroom was pleasantly sized. The reason I’m getting a three stars, is the walls are thin. I get that my neighbors were having a good time, but I don’t think I needed to hear it at night.
MoreCouldn’t sleep because of the noise from the next room.Housekeeping staff stole my clothes. Very corrupt staff.
MoreWe have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the past 10-15 years and have always loved the convenient and quiet location. The staff and service has always been excellent. Sadly, the design quality has gone down considerably. Le Meridien used to feel like it had a design forward quality to it's rooms, furniture and lobby. The furniture and plants in the lobby - especially single blue (?) orchids seemed like an odd and random choice. No automatic door assist at the front doors so it was very challenging to bring in suitcases. The desk chair in the room was tattered, the bathroom door needs to be painted, the bathtub tile looked like it had rust stains, the plumbing fixtures in the bath look old and cheap, the faucet at the sink looks like it came from a surplus store, dented wall mirror hardware and uninspired bathroom floor tile. The electrical room right off the elevator was being exhausted by a portable air conditioner that was blowing hot air into the corridor and the ice machine didn't work on our floor. Signs in the elevators that looked like they were attached with velcro. We had breakfast included with our room, which was an ok buffet, the fresh strawberries and blueberries were very good, but the quality of the tea selection was pretty dismal. All in all, we were pretty disappointed and did not think we received value for what we paid for this stay. Hopefully this hotel is in line for a major design upgrade and renovation soon.
MoreWonderful staff, friendly courteous and extremely helpful
