tripadvisorConvenient for a one night stay before an early flight. Shuttle service was excellent! Breakfast was convenient. Room was very clean and it had a couch. Bathroom was roomy and clean. Cheaper option than many other Boston airport hotels. Would recommend just for a night.
MoreTried calling the hotel for close to an hour to have the shuttle to pick me up from Logan. No one answered. Tried calling 10 times! They wouldn’t even answer for the Hilton Diamond Desk! I finally just an uber!!! When I got to the hotel to check in - the rep at the front desk didn’t even apologize!! He just said - do you want to check in or not?? What a crappy attitude!
MoreChose this hotel bc of WAY airport parking and shuttle to Logan. Made reservation for parking, left car there, took shuttle to Logan, flew away, called for shuttle upon return, then stayed one night at Hampton inn before driving home. Hampton shuttle driver going to airport very helpful & made sure we knew where to catch return from Logan. Not a bad wait after flight to go to hotel. At the time the hotel had some renovations going on with only one elevator but signage was clear. Only challenge was upon our early hotel 6am departure to drive home, there was no hot coffee already brewed! I guess Dunkin is the only acceptable coffee in Boston, ;) (Also though WAY parking is separate from the actual hotel, you self park and they may move your car while you are traveling as they keep your keys).
MoreI stayed at this Hampton for one evening prior to an early morning flight out of Logan. This was my first time here. Previously, I have stayed at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn before a morning flight, but the HGI was well over $300/night. Check in was a little hectic at 6:30 p.m. although there were two front desk clerks on duty. I had done pre-check in and was given my assigned room on the 5th floor.I was QUITE SURPRISED to see a hotel THIS LARGE (9 floors and at least 40 rooms per floor) with only two elevators and one of the elevators down for construction. And apparently it has been down FOR MONTHS based on previous Trip Advisor reviews. This really should be noted in an email communication prior to the stay (which there are ALWAYS plenty of emails from Hilton hotels prior to a stay). Honestly, I would have switched hotels had I known. The public areas of the hotel did seem a little worn (attached is a photo of some lovely duct tape on the carpeting in the elevator that did work). But my room was quite clean and well equipped. There were plenty of outlets everywhere in the room. The bathroom towels were particularly fluffy. The thermostat worked well. My most important criteria for an airport hotel relates to the fitness center. It has to be open 24/7 and the Hampton delivered well here. I had no problem accessing the fitness center at 4:30 a.m. There were 2 Precor ellipticals, 1 Precor recumbent bike, and 3 treadmills, along with plenty of free weights, a universal type weight machine, and a bench. The rope attachment for the universal equipment was quite frayed, but the elliptical I used worked quite well and appeared relatively new. The attached TV did not work, but that is almost always the case in these types of fitness centers. There were plenty of towels and sanitizing wipes. I did have dinner at the hotel after a very long work day, I was glad to have this option as most Hampton Inns do not have restaurants open for dinner. Driving on Route 1A can be challenging and stressful. The bartender doubled as the waitstaff and did an amazing job keeping up. But she definitely needs some support staff. The turkey club was not actually a club sandwich, but it was tasty enough and the chips were fresh. I did not have time for breakfast on my departure date.I am very happy that I asked the morning front desk clerk about exiting the parking lot. The evening clerk had not put a sticker on my parking stub which was needed for me to exit the lot. The morning clerk also explained the procedure for exiting. Tip: be sure to take a photo of your license plate before checking in as they will ask for your license plate number. I was able to exit the lot easily.Interestingly, I was not given the complimentary bottled water as a Hilton Gold member. I didn't really need it so I did not bother to ask. The traffic on Route 1A was bumper to bumper at 6:00 a.m., so be sure to leave plenty of time to get to Logan or the Rental Car return. It took me about 10 minutes. I think with a little investment, this could be a solid choice, but I would pick the HGI in the future.
MoreDue to flight problems, two couples were forced to spend the night near Logan Airport due to Delta mess after storm. We checked various hotels and by 6 PM all those we checked were full We decided on Hampton, due to shuttle, being a Hilton Honors member and being close. The rate as Hilton Honors was $645 + tax for each of the two rooms. We were picked up by the shuttle and brought to hotel. We checked in and I asked if we could get bottle water - YOU AREN'T GOLD SO YOU DON'T QUALIFY - even though we paid $645 and 4 bottles of water would break the Hilton. The receptionist relented and gave us 4 bottle of water - there were none in room. We asked if we could get breakfast to go - we were told - WE ONLY MAKE UP SO MANY AND WHEN GONE ARE GONE! Another great PR move. We went to our rooms and came back down to eat in their bar area We ordered drinks and food - had to go to bar since no one was available after we cleaned off own table . We ordered and then waited for drinks - bar tender forgot - busy flirting with those at the bar. I went up and got our waters and paid for bill - he then turned in food order 20 minutes after he took it. Our friends had ordered beer and a mix drink and he told them - HE FORGOT AND WOULD GET THEM RIGHT UP. Waited another 20 minutes for sandwiches and we asked where were they -he checked and magically they appeared in 5 mintues. The waitress we had since we arrived - appeared with food like OH I have it!!!!.The room was comfortable the time we had, but you could tell the don't know how to clean. The bedside table had been wiped off but not cleaned. They was an old stain on it where someone spilled and no one took a wet sponge/cloth and cleaned it, instead they just polished it - same was where the TV was located - spill stain and no one cleaned - Our rooms were 420 and 424. Considering the premium price and our experience with other Hamptons, this place is equivlent to either poorly maintained Comfort Inn or an old Holiday Inn which hadn't been updated.
