Freezing cold hallways, tiny rooms and $500 mispent money for one night. Bathroom the size of a small closet. Ridiculous Marriott!!

At check in, they gave us a room that was not the type that we reserved. They did not tell us that. We walked a long distance to the room to discover this and then walked back to the front desk with our luggage. We were told that they were out of the room type we reserved. After a long discussion, they miraculously found us the room type we reserved. The front desk staff seemed rather disinterested in our concerns. The hotel is a bit dated, but still an acceptable place to stay. The Starbucks in the lobby was a nice extra.

We stayed here for my daughter's college dorm move-in.The parking lot was large and rarely full, but parking cost $20. Check-in wasn't friendly, though it wasn't rude either — just not a pleasant experience. The room had very low ceilings and was old and poorly maintained. The bathroom was very cramped, with a doorway so narrow that I bumped into it several times. Water pressure was weak, and the bathroom wasn't clean. The lounge is closed on Friday and Saturday, and open Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 9 PM. The food was bland — the only good thing was the Cape Cod potato chips. There was Pepsi, lemonade, and bottled water; alcohol appeared to be paid. The lounge staff, however, were friendly.Overall — the hotel is very dated and poorly maintained, and parking was pricey. It seems to be a property that survives on convention-center traffic, and it falls short of the standard you'd expect from Marriott. It looks like it needs a major overhaul, and until it's renovated, we won't be coming back.

Fara, the front desk agent was so incurably helpful during our stay. We were here for a dance competition and booked one night less than we needed, while the group we stayed with booked one extra night. Fara was able to help us adjust the reservations so we could all stay the correct number of nights for the comp. On the night we were leaving to drive home we ran over a log that was in the middle of the road and our car exhaust broke, causing us to have to stay an additional night. The next morning Fara offered a late checkout so we could relax in the room while our car was being repaired. She was truly kind and empathetic and made a terrible experience much better. We will happily stay here again anytime we're in the area in no small part to the wonderful hospitality we received. I would give more than 5 stars if I could, perfect hospitality.

Look at the attached pictures while reading this. This hotel has serious problems. It is old and needs to be renovated. And it shows. The first thing I noticed was that the thermostat was falling off the wall when we walked into our room. The second thing was that the room safe was in a drawer and was not even secured. You could just pick it up and walk out. Then I opened the curtains and saw a bunch of dead birds on the ledge outside our window. Disgusting. And the window was filthy with bird crap on it. There are no streaming services available on their in room TV. And I had to call to get shampoo for the shower as it was empty. Horrible experience.
