tripadvisorThis places blows. Last week they canceled Goth night even though it was a busy night before the Fourth of July holiday and this week the petty functionary at the door would not let me in even though I had a California drivers license that showed I was over 21! When I emailed the manager I got no response so I sent my assistant in instead who said the place didn't have a good crowd and so she left. it should not be too long before this venue is off the So Cal Goth club list as this place sucks
MoreThis is a great place to get together with friends and have a beer. It has that dive bar vibe but in a good way. Good selection of beverages and I hear they have a decent burger but I didn't try the food so I can't recommend them. The crowd was younger and I am not, but I enjoy the energy.
MoreI usually don't like places that are wannabe whiskey bars. The whiskies are either poorly (randomly) chosen or are so absurdly priced that you can't enjoy a good dram. Not so at the BD and they are certainly not wannabes. The guys know their whisky, and after a taste or two, can direct you to something great that you might not have ever tried before. Great Irish, very good basic Scotches(+), Japanese single malts, bourbons, and a few of the resurgent ryes. (and lots of others I don't drink) The surprise was the food. Very good burgers at nice prices and wonderful fries. I'm not a fan of the pizza fried but that was just me, everyone else chowed down. The only disappointment might have been the beer selection but they don't pretend to be a brewhouse. A few beers to fill out the menu with maybe the Belgian being the best. (to be fair, once again, I am not a fan of IPAs so that reduces the choices for me) Stop in, have fun for food early, and a dram or two later.
MoreThere are so many different types of whiskey to try. Have a glass, watch the movie playing and play a game of shuffle board. The bartenders are really helpful and friend despite the place being so busy.
MoreThis is a very cool place to relax with friends. Great selection of drinks and also good food. Nice place to relax and meet up after some Pasadena shopping.
