This is a nice neighborhood library. Its not too big, but they have plenty of books on all subjects. Its a comfortable place. Its near to where I live and it holds a special place for me because a plaque was put up there for my mother in law for all her service at the library.

Cranston Public Library Oak Lawn Branch 230 Wilbur Ave. Cranston, R.I. 02921-1046. The telephone number of this library is: 401 942-1787. The hours are: Tuesday, Wednesday Friday, and Saturday 10:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. Closed on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. This is a small library. Magazines, Back Issues of Newspapers, Audiobooks, Music, Paperbacks, Movies, Large Print, Books on Knitting, are just some of the things that this library has to offer. One table and four or five chairs are at this particular location. A Children's Room and things for Teens are also at this library. Books on the cart .50 each or 3 of them for $1.00. Not too many computers at Oak Lawn Branch Library. Parking is available in the back of the library or on the street. Friendly and nice women working there. This isn't a quiet library, loud conversations can be heard, and the door is noisy when people come in and go out. Oak Lawn Library was established in 1895 as a former schoolhouse. The building underwent construction in 1965 to create space for a children's library. More construction was done again in 1990 at this library to add a new entrance and reading room. Louis and I had a nice time at Oak Lawn Library. Thank You.

Great local library with staff who really want to help. They can order books from the whole system and are willing to work with you.
