I found this store and always have a pure and perfect joy. I hate to have to say anything to these people but what is wrong with people today that you believe that a store should be your source of entertainment and that these people owe you to put you in some kind of good mood if you’re not already how would you feel if somebody came into your work and decided that they would write a bad review about you because you were not at that moment what talk to you that’s what your friends are for. I hope people will ask themselves what really compels and propels you to take to the online community in order to say something bad about a story you entered at a particular time what makes you do that I wonder I doubt it’s because you’re a happy fulfilled person maybe you need to think about that I’m sorry but bad reviews blow my mind unless you actually receive bad service but there is no service they’re letting you shop Jesus need to accept others the way that they are just because the certain person doesn’t have your same style of communication maybe they respect your privacy enough not to wanna maybe they think that’s the way to be cultures people we’re all different don’t judge somebody because they don’t have the same demeanor as your group of friends so silly. WhoThat being said the store is perfectly wonderful in my opinion I love the way they organize things by size and then break it down by color it makes it aesthetically pleasing and easy to find everything especially Bitty Who could not have been more lovely and helpful I think it’s a great store and there are some expensive things that’s why it’s called uptown consignments it gives you a choice of clothes and designer handbags are fabulous for those who like them and they are expensive that’s what they’re about those handbags and they’re only certain ones I bought a beautiful Kate Spade for $45 and it’s real leather and that’s about 80% off . I prefer the Hamden location where the employees actually help and are kind to the customers. Since they opened I have been a customer not a fan at the Rocky hill location the employees are rude, and prices are a little outrageous. On this occasion I’m looking at the items on the racks outdoors asked if an item was still available from a live the young lady did not know nor did the manager did not recall as I was trying to view the items on racks outdoors then she takes the rack away it now 5:45 at this time I going indoors looking at the dresses on the far wall and was going to purchase one when I am in that area because it’s now 6 pm and she the You g girl shuts the lights off as me and another woman were in the area, no verbal communication”we are closing can you please bring your final purchases to the register”. No just shuts the light off says nothing until I asked her if she was the manager blames owner for not verbalizing that the store is closing that the owner doesn’t want that said…well ya lost sale and customer for that store. I prefer Hamden those girls make sure their customers feel welcome and are given best customer service. Sorry Rocky hill ya need to work on your customer service skills and treat every customer with courtesy they pay the bills.

I visited here with a couple girlfriends and we all left with amazing designer pieces for fractions of the retail price! Many were even new with tags! I found some items for my hubby as well since they have a small yet diverse men’s section. The store is small, but they have it loaded up with just the right stuff. Handbags, accessories, shoes, jewelry, clothing... they even had a few home pieces and Tiffany champagne flutes. Very cool store with really nice friendly girls that all seems upbeat and available if you needed help, but not overly on you like a furniture store. We look forward to coming back next time we’re in the area!

Stopped into the Hamden location (not able to find that location to review on here) looking for a pocketbook based on positive feedback I heard from co-workers. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. Upon walking in, a strong musty odor combined with almost a moth ball odor hits you in the face. When looking at the pocketbooks, I found a black one that I liked however the leather was marked up all over the front. How did no one see this before accepting it or putting it out for sale?! I did end up purchasing a different black pocketbook and when I got home with it, I found a container of floss with hair all over it in one of the pockets. Again, how did no one catch this before accepting and putting it out for sale?! The workers seemed like all they cared about was their cell phones so I guess that’s how none of these things were caught.

We all know there is a time and place for everything. We have all heard the saying, There is a time to laugh and a time to cry. Well, I would like to add that there is also a time to buy. And if you are going to buy Uptown Consignment is a good place to start or end or be somewhere in the middle, :). The store is set up pretty neatly for the most part. There is one rack that has so much clothing on it that you can not get the hangers off because it is just too tight. I left that one alone. It is quiet and there are no sales people constantly coming up to you. You're on your own. Assistance is in sight if you need them. It was like being at your girlfriend's home or family members house and they allowed you to go through their closet. I got a nice top, some flip flops and a pair of house slippers. The slippers were a dollar. My daughter bought a beautiful pair of shoes that were from Barney's. No buyer's guilt. It was a time to buy for sure.
