Beautiful property but suite had been neglected for months. Management was made aware of issues and promised to write a report and to rectify the following day. Upon cleaning, there was no follow-up or accountability. Being declined the use of the hotel vacuum and supplies, I placed and order at Walmart for express delivery and cleaned myself. I missed one family even and had to change plans go elsewhere and cook food I had prepared for my family. Upon exit, my bill was not adjusted as promised. I contacted customer service and requested a full adjustment along with a request for reimbursement for the cleaning items I purchased that were not only used by me but also by the hotel staff. I received a few thousand points and an apology.PS, I personally witnessed staff using Palmolive dish detergent to clean the toilet instead of a disinfectant.

Steer clear away from this establishment, staff is very rude and bias on who can stay at the property. Not worth the headache when there are many other properties with better service. The condition of the rooms are also outdated and subpar at best.

The experience was horrible I absolutely feel like the staff was racist I purchased my gift cards to use online ahead of my stay. Marriot does not specify that you have to use pay before the gift cards can be used.I landed to take my son to UCONN to start college my flight landed at 1am in the morning I’m a African American female the night manager was Caucasian I was refused service because I wanted to use my gift cards I called customer service and he called the police on me also had me vacate the premises at 3am with my elderly mom son and husband even the police did not understand why the gift card could not be taken when the policy clearly states that gift cards can be redeem he refuse to call upper management. I went to the previous hotel where I stayed when my son did his college visit it was overbooked therefore the gentleman called around and found a vacancy near by where they accepted gift cards. And gave exceptional service I called customer complaints over and over with no resolution I even received a ticket number it’s been 1month on a half and no response. I had to book several rooms and change my booking daily due to a high demand and over priced rooms. To accommodate the rate I had at the original location. I never expected to be so humiliated by a company that doesn’t knows anything about customer service. Never booked there the staff is rude and racist.

There was a kitchen with stove and oven, but only one small pot with no lid. I called the front desk to ask about a larger pot or frying pan and was told what was in the room was what was available. Hard to cook anything for a family of 4 with one tiny pot. There is a odd smell in the rooms. We had to switch rooms because the smell was overwhelming, the second room was better but still had odd smell. Only one window opens and the rooms are musty.

This location is quaint. Better than expected. Residential neighborhood. Quiet. It feels safe. I chose it because it wasn't the inner city of Hartford. The inside of the room is dated to some degree. The downside was the bathroom had an ant problem. We checked out early. I told the gentleman at the front desk and he said, Oh, I'm so sorry. And that was it.
