Great little Courtyard Marriott. Nothing spectacular but the room served its purpose. It appears to be renovated or upgraded. For the value, it’s fine. The little lobby area with access to coffee and small food items is great. Clean rooms/facilities were good.

Room was nice and clean, people were friendly, and great location. What is irking, is that Marriott Bonvoy is somewhat disjointed with the staff in many locations, to the extent they do not look and see that you are a gold member with later checkout privileges for one thing. Second, you have other requests and preferences e.g., extra towels, non down pillows, highest floor, etc., and they don't see them (maybe b/c they are trained to look, but why have these features on Bonvoy, if the staff on location aren't trained to see them? or ask about them? From a customer's perspective, what is put in Bonvoy should be the default level of service expected, and if the staff is unable to accomodate, they should mention that when you checkin in person or on bonvoy app.

Enjoyed a comfortable, clean and well-maintained room at the Norwalk Courtyard for a weekend business trip. Very pleasant and helpful staff at check in. It's in a great location -- easy access to the major highways but on a quieter roadway with lots of food and service options in close proximity. Will stay here again

⸻I’ve been a Tripadvisor reviewer for quite some time, and my reviews are always honest based on both the property and the people who represent it. I make it a point to recognize great employees, and I also call out poor service when it’s deserved.Unfortunately, this stay falls into the latter category. The hotel itself is clean and appears fairly new. The pricing is definitely on the high side. While the room was well kept, the bed was much softer than what I’ve typically experienced at Marriott properties, which are usually known for firm, comfortable mattresses. However, the rating I’m giving has less to do with the physical property and more to do with a very disappointing customer service experience.A front desk employee named Nicole delivered what was easily one of the worst customer service interactions I’ve experienced. She was standoffish and barely approachable. Her responses were limited to short “yes” or “no” answers, almost robotic in tone, with no effort to engage or assist. There was no warmth, no personality, and no problem-solving ability. I booked two rooms one for two nights and another for one night at a premium rate. When I requested a second bottle of water, the interaction felt unnecessarily difficult. Regardless of status or circumstance, a paying guest requesting basic hospitality shouldn’t feel like they’re asking for something unreasonable. I’m a disabled veteran and sometimes needs an extra bottle of water while I sleep because of the dry air in hotel rooms I don’t travel with a humidifier. But unfortunately, I didn’t really get a chance to explain myself with Nicole‘s short answers and lack of response to see what I needed . Good customer service isn’t about policies alone it’s about delivery and attitude. What concerns me most is that someone displaying such poor coping skills and lack of customer service training appears to be working night shifts in what seems like a supervisory capacity. That reflects more on management than on the individual alone. To be fair, the gentleman who checked me in (whose name I unfortunately don’t recall) was outstanding professional, respectful, and truly customer oriented. That interaction shows the hotel is capable of training and employing excellent staff. If you’re charging top-dollar rates, the service needs to match. As of now, aside from being extremely thirsty and disappointed, I’m most upset that management allows this level of service to represent the property, also i’m pondering why I am now thinking of the prices of the room for my two rooms over less than a dollar bottle of water that I was refused. If something changes in the next two days, I’ll gladly update this review. I always believe in giving credit where it’s due. Also let me mention I’ve been a top tier Bonvy member for as long as I can remember, so I know the Marriott properties very well and I judge them accordingly.
