MoreShort little arts center to show you a little about architecture and the harvard 5. Not worth my time
MoreThe Carriage Barn was literally that, on a historic property with a mansion in the center of a 200-acre park of woods, meadows, athletic fields, the senior center, and other attractions. The Barn - actually made of stone - is a one-story structure renovated to serve as an art gallery and/or a place for intimate concerts like chamber music. There are year-round temporary art shows of work by local and regional artists of note. Well worth a visit - but be sure to check the days and hours. Admission is free, with donations encouraged.
MoreThe Carriage Barn Art Center is located on the old Lapham Estate that is now a town park. The Barn is a substantial building with rustic stone walls and a slate roof that once housed horses, but now functions as an art gallery. The 3,000 s.f. open space has a high gabled wood ceiling, white walls and excellent adjustable track lighting. The shows are quite varied--art, photography, and sculpture, as well as specially events. Admission is free.
MoreThe Carriage Barn Arts center showcases many talented local artists in addition to artwork from students and collectors. They have terrific shows. The photography exhibit is excellent and admission is free. It is located in Waveny Park.
