tripadvisorThis museum is a series of restored 18th Century homes containing a nice collection of artifacts related to Wilton's role in Revolutionary War events, such as a Royal British Army raid on nearby Danbury that included several skirmishes within Wilton. A video presentation covered the background of several historical documents shown in this museum, including signed correspondence among the American generals. Included among these were General Benedict Arnold, who in 1777 was still fighting on the American side.Note that several of the rooms within the old home are still being restored, so you are limited to a reproduction kitchen and living area on the first floor. You might want to wait until later this year when all these rooms have reopened to visitors.
MoreBeautiful setting, food and auction items! Craft show showcasing beautiful and unique items ranging from fine art to handmade crafts. We look forward to this show....and the gala...every year! Enjoy!

MoreThe annual train show is only one of the great things about this fabulous museum. They have weekly and monthly classes for kids to learn crafts and spend time engaged in a place and time that's away from a screen. Special exhibits are always a treat. This is a wonderful spot to visit every month of the year.
MoreCame for the Great Trains Holiday Exhibit open seasonally. Currently, the train exhibit is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00pm, and Sundays 12:00 – 4:00pm. Cute little place. Friendly staff. Not crowded at all on a Sunday afternoon with a relaxed atmosphere. Paid $10 per ticket age 12 and up (under 12 free).Exhibit was small but fun for kids. There were some buttons to push to activate certain items in the train displays. There was one large, very neat Lego train set as well. Additionally, there was a train play room for small kids. Also saw a nice antique dollhouse exhibit. Also an option to purchase and decorate your own holiday cookie. This train exhibit is geared toward small kids, and kept them occupied with buttons to push and the playroom. What I liked was that it was not crowded and not rushed. Depending on your child, could probably spend anywhere from 1-3 hours here. Very nice train displays. Parking on site. Gift shop. Didn’t see a food venue here, but lots of food options nearby.
