tripadvisorGreat location with several restaurants in the area. I wish that their choices were a bit more varied (like MAYO Pac, Bergen Pac or the similar location events at Carteret theatre) but I am thankful they have what they actually have. Seats are spaced nicely, sightlines are great and parking is easy. They definitely could use some work on the sound system for certain shows but theatre is beautiful. Was once Rahway Theatre where I saw a lot of movies as a kid.
MoreSaw a 3-day ProgStock festival with many bands The venue was beautiful and the sound was great I would highly recommend seeing plays or shows or concerts there
MoreWe attended Progstock Festival. There is not a bad seat in the house. Staff were great to work with.
MoreParking: We managed to get street parking and given the small venue I don't anticipate parking being too difficult in the future. Seating: I think you would be hard pressed to find a bad seat. There are no cup holders in the seats though which is unfortunate. Cafe: Theres no hot/cooked food so I do feel the term cafe is a bit misleading. They do have chips and candy. Drinks are reasonably priced, but the wine I got tasted more like vinegar. Sound: The sound was inconsistent, mikes were randomly cutting out. Not sure if it was an off night or what but it definitely affected the show.
MoreWent to UCPAC to see Ghost The musical at the Hamilton Stage. It has a small intimate auditorium with good seating. There is ample parking behind the theater and on the street. Though I noticed on the way out that late comers had blocked cars closest to the theater. So get there early and do not park close to the theater.
