Worked out here as a guest when visiting family. Well equipped, friendly staff. No towel service. Plenty of well built folks pumping iron around you for motivation. I recommend it if you are in the area.

Toms River Fitness is staffed with the most welcoming people. The huge gym is very well equipped with all types of machines kept in working order. Friendly members, and super owners give one the feeling of belonging. After working out in gyms in many parts of the world I can say this is the finest I've seen.

A few of my friends just recently left this gym because the wifi never works. Therefore when you want to workout to Pandora....it's a NO GO, unless you don't mind using your data. I still go occasionally because the classes are somewhat decent. However you do have to pay extra for spinning and some other classes now. The classes vary with clicks and groups that stare you down if you look like you ate a cupcake that day. Then there's the rude Lakewood residents that just started going there too. I think because it's free with their health care plan. They are in line for treadmills, wearing skirts on the woman's side. It's def pretty weird and uncomfortable. I've been trying to get wifi the last year at TRF. I had to write this review at home. When I ask the front desk if wifi will ever work they always say, it's getting fixed but that's been over a year now. So I finally terminated my membership. Locker room is clean. I have to note the cleaning and maintenance people are always very nice. It's not their fault everything is dated and stuck in the 80s. Machinery is ok. There has got to be a better option. Please feel free to give me options. Thank you.

I love this gym. I am a full member. You need to be a member to be admitted to the gym. Clean, comfortable has 2 pools, 1 co-ed and 1 women only. Has a women's and a co-ed work out sections that are completely separate. I love the classes, but could give it 5 stars for 2 reasons: There are very few if any classes between 6am and 7:30am. They are either at 5:30 am or after 8am. So either way too early, or too late to get to work on time. The other problem with the classes is that some of them have music playing so loud that it is uncomfortable. To me, that is a health issue and I bring earplugs to deal with that.

There are two side to this gym, literally. They have a co-ed and a women's side. Being a woman, I find it so comforting to know I can workout without feeling uncomfortable.
