tripadvisorIt was in my list of places to visit in NYC ever since I saw the series Dash and Lily on Netflix. I was so happy to finally visit this bookstore. Unlike the modern bookstores which appeal to the aesthetics more than the actual books, this place has a real character. I was glad to find genuine readers here to carry out their haul than those who come to take just photos for their socials. There are many different sections and such beautiful collection catering to every genre that I can think of. The staff is quite helpful in finding something that you particularly want to buy and can't find it. There is a cute coffee shop inside and a selection of souvenirs too for us shoppers. For me, looking a book felt more like treasure hunting, stumbling into unexpected things while browsing. Definitely worth visiting...
MoreI stopped here on my recent trip. They have so many books. New and used. I picked up an old Dickens book. They also have a rare book area on the top floor that is cool.
MoreIt was very busy on a late December Sunday. It takes a while to get oriented. This was our first visit. It definitely offers a lot. Pricing could be better. It is legendary, of course, and I had a decent cup of coffee.
