Barnes & Noble began as a college book emporium. Now, this huge company sells virtually every new book you can think of. There are more than a dozen Barnes & Noble stores in Manhattan alone, including this superstore. Textbooks are still a strong point at the Union Square location, as are volumes from the great literature of the world, paperbacks and children's books. Seating is available, and authors frequently put in an appearance to sign their latest creations. Most branches have a cafe as well as an extensive magazine section.

tripadvisorThis was just a regular Barnes and noble. While it’s was amazing with 3 floor of books and the smell just like a new book it’s just a Barnes and noble. No admission to go in. We stayed for about 2 hours bc it’s a lot to look at. Staff was amazing and helpful. Not to crowded. This is a must stop in NYC
MoreFound ourselves in the store on a Sunday afternoon. We easily spent two hours in the store checking everything out. The associates here at this lot are always very helpful with any questions we may have.
MoreGreat store! Enjoyed my visit with my family.
MoreConveniently located in the Square, this four story Barnes & Nobles is the perfect spot to stop in for a coffee, to browse the many books, and gift offerings, or to escape either the wet or winter weather. The employees working are always helpful and go out of their way to help you locate exactly what you are looking for.
MoreBarnes & Noble Bookstore is an exceptional place, when I enquired about Certainly not a Celebrity the staff could not be any more helpful. They located the book ,and their empathy and understanding was marvellous.
