Preteen girls love American Girl Place, where they can bring along their favorite American Girl doll to get her hair done, purchase clothing and accessories, get a photo taken at the studio or pick up something for their pet: all for the doll, of course. There is also a line of clothing inspired by the dolls, with everything from modern dresses and casual wear to replicas of vintage sleepwear for the special young lady in your life. Enjoy teatime or brunch at their exclusive bistro, but be sure to book in advance as this is a popular place for mother-daughter bonding and birthday parties.

tripadvisorOur salon experience started off rocky, but Amonda saved the day. Waiting 30 minutes for a manicure for a doll was frustrating considering we had an appointment . Apparently, Danny does not do the doll manicures but never conveyed that to us.. Amonda resolved our issue within minutes and refunded our money for the doll’s hair and nails Kahlea did the doll’s hair and nails and did a wonderful job. Amonda did my daughter’s hair and it was stunning. Our shopper was also wonderful as were our Cafe servers. What a wonderful day. A special thank you to Amondo for making our entire experience extremely pleasant and memorable . I highly recommend you go see Amonda at American girl doll store She’s the best
MoreMy daughter was absolutely over the moon. She loved seeing all of the doll displays. She had a great experience at the salon with her doll. FYI if you have any product in her hair they won’t use hot tools. Didn’t realize that. She still got cute braids. Also they have a military discount! Nice given you can’t get any of the online sales.
MoreVisited the NYC location and my daughter and I enjoyed ourselves. Good selection and store layout. We tried to eat at the cafe but were told without a reservation it was not possible. Also from what I saw at the NYC location, comparing the two locations, the cafe in Chicago appeared larger with more wide open seating than what was available at the NYC cafe. Despite missing lunch, the product availability at NYC was available and gave a girl power vibe throughout the store! My daughter bought the doll of the year with accessories and she said visiting this location was one of the highlights of our NYC trip.
MoreWe took our little people to the American Girl Doll store. Oh my! We spent hours looking around. We also had reservations for lunch and it did not disappoint. The food and drinks were delicious. It was clean and relaxing. The little people had the best day ever!
MoreGreat place to bring the kids! The place is full of displays and interactive stuff that keeps them engaged andddd it has a salon service and cute cafe too! Worth checking out when in NYC, every little girls dream to be honest.
