After we bought the tickets a day before for different musical when I said to my husband we should visit also this theatre and see MJ musical he was not up for it but I liked Jackson's music so at the end he agreed. We went to the box office in the afternoon and said to a very helpful gentleman we would like tickets but not very expensive but with good view at the scene and if possible, for a performance only for the next couple days. He checked and found a few options and we chose added chairs in the orchestra seating area which cost 218 dollars for both of us. On the day of the performance we went through bag checking procedure but had no problem to take in small backpack with metal bottle of water. After we sat in our chairs we found how lucky we are as regular rows of seats were very narrow and my husband would definitely have had problem with small space for legs. We also saw a biggish lady who sat at the edge seat and she didn't fit into her chair and sat only on half of her posterior. The theatre opened the doors in 1927 under the name Alvin Theatre and was renamed in 1983 to honor playwright Neil Simon. The interior was a bit darker, maybe because the back space of orchestra seating area is lower as above is the balcony. Nevertheless is nice theatre. The musical itself was amazing and if I would have possibility to see it again I would do it. Both, the kids playing young Jackson and the protagonist of older Jackson were incredible. If you ever did hear Michael Jackson talking then you would have feeling he is standing on the stage talking, singing and dancing. Also all other actors/singers were amazing as well as the story of the musical was very tastefully written. When we went out after the musical finished I was happy that my husband told me he totally enjoyed it too despite being not fully in favour of it at the time we bought the tickets.

Went to see MJ the Musical which was really good but the whole night was soured by being kept waiting outside until 25 minutes before the show. At that stage the line had developed into a scrum. Just not good enough. If the line had been let in even ten minutes earlier it would saved a lot of pushing and a claustrophobic atmosphere in the relatively small foyer. Not sure why we were kept outside so long but in my experience it's to give the impression that it's an event that's in demand. I don't like being used as a prop.

Myself and my husband Simon and our two teenage children went to see Michael Jackson in Neil Simon on the 20th of April for my 50th birthday. unfortunately 20 minutes into the show I collapsed and was assisted out by security and staff out of the theatre to a private room were I was put on a sofa. Trisha and Mary and other wonderful staff who's names I cannot recall were their to assist and care for me till I gained consciousness. The staff on duty were terrific and a credit to the Neil Simon Theatre. Trisha asked my husband to come back the next day and we were given VIP tickets 6 rows from the front which I was overwhelmed by. The performance was incredible as are the staff. I want to personally thank all the staff on duty on Tuesday the 20th of April 2025 for your compassion and support thanks so much you were all amazing!!!! Martina Toman Northern Ireland.

We decided very last minute to try to get tickets at this theatre for the MJ show. We showed up and hour before the show and were let in to see if anything was left. The man at the window was super nice - i told him it was our first time seeing a show (my 10 year okd son and myself). I told him I wanted good seats, and let him pick. We had AMAZING seats, and a great price!! I’m sure it was just dumb luck, but we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The only downside was the lady beside me did not fit in her seat, so she was half in mine - but with the a/c cranking she kind of kept me warm . The bar was super expensive. We ordered ONE soda for $10. I can’t complain. Amazing staff, AMAZING SHOW, amazing experience! Best part of our trip!!
