Not that much content but the current exhibit called Uncanny Valley is well done and well worth seeing.

The Museum of Arts and Design is in a great location, just right by Lincoln Center and just across from Central Park. It’s a refreshing change from the larger NYC museums. It’s on the smaller side, but it’s filled with unique exhibits focusing on design, craft, and contemporary art. I did explore the whole museum in about an hour.Don’t miss the restaurant on the 9th floor; called Robert. It offers stunning views of Central Park and Lincoln Center.

Such a great find and a good way to spend a rainy afternoon on the edge of Central Park while in New York City. Just four floors of beautiful art designs and reasonably priced for a half day activity. We started at the guest exhibits at the top and worked our way down one floor at a time and thoroughly enjoyed all of the beautiful exhibits. For a special treat go to the top floor for an impressive view at the restaurant Robert and for the best cocktails and vegetarian bites found anywhere in the city.

This gorgeous art museum is a must-see when in NYC. It's not as well-known as the Met or the MoMA, and anyone who's expecting a repeat of those museums will be disappointed. However, this museum is lovely and well worth a visit! This museum specifically advertises itself as dedicated to craft art and the process of art design, and it lives up to its promise. It's folksier and displays less traditionally popular art, but I loved the vibrancy and the creativity of the exhibits. It's a lot bigger than I expected, and it took us several hours to get through everything. It's centrally located by Columbus Circle, so take a break from shopping and come visit!

So glad I didn’t have to pay because I am a NARM member! There were only a few things in the collection on the second floor that I liked: Harvey Littleton’s and Dale Chihuly’s glass pieces, minimalistic ceramics by Marie Herwald Hermann and Anders Herwald Ruhwald, and the red rope installation by Claire Zeisler Hemp. Nothing attracted my attention on the third floor. The fourth and the fifth floor are totally dedicated to the Barbie exhibition, which is a mockery, in my opinion. The gift shop is full of undeservingly high priced items.
