If you are coming over th VZ bridge from Brooklyn heading anywhere west towards Jersey, make a quick stop at Ft. Wadsworth for a wonderful view of the bridge and NYC from a great vantage point. Use lower level and stay right to first exit and turn right again into Fort Wadsworth, just past the Visitor learning Center make left to parking area. Get out and admire the amazing view!

The Narrows (at Fort Wadsworth) is a very scenic spot for views of New York Harbor and Staten Island, to be enjoyed by native Staten Islanders as well as ANY tourist--at any time of the year ! Bicycling is possible also there !

When you go down to Fort Wadsworth, you will have an awesome view of the Narrows. The bridge looks great also but whether you look out to sea or across the bay to Manhattan, it is terrific.

Welcome to America. Impressive views after coming in from cruising the Atlantic Ocean. I’m sure viewing ships from the Narrows would be impressive. We had the mirror image.

There are very nice views here... But I'm not sure why this is a separate attraction from the boardwalk where you can see the same views and walk the pier
