Not much to see here. The rock makes for a nice view, but it is next to the road and there is no need to stop your car - you cannot miss it. Just drive by and enjoy it.

I'll admit that when I read about this balanced rock, I was intrigued.There are two theories: one that a glacier--with no mind of its own--deposited this large rock atop smaller stones; and the other that Native Americans found a way to hoist it and put it in its current place. So, I just had to see it to decide for myself.With no formal training whatsoever, I've concluded that I have zero idea how this rock came to rest the way it has.The most surprising part of the visit was that this rock is literally on the side of a road, sitting of to the side of a barn-like building. Totally didn't expect that; I thought it was going to be in a park or something. (Very) Limited parking keeps the visits short, I'm sure. You can crawl underneath the rock if you don't mind getting dirty or potentially stuck.I was already in the area; I wouldn't recommend making this the sole reason for an extensive trip.

I've seen several other balanced rocks in my extensive travels, and many of the others are much larger and more spectacular than this. However, this one is a bit unusual because it sits on the tips of several smaller rocks beneath it. So, if you are passing through the general area it is worth a brief visit to see it. 5-10 minutes will be all you'll want to spend here. There is a small area in front of the rock where a couple of cars can pull in, and it wasn't clear to me whether that area is private property or open to the public. We didn't worry about it since our visit was brief. The sign mentions two theories about the rock, one geology-based and one human-based. My online research casts doubt on the human explanation; you can judge for yourself.

I and my wife take a train to Brewter, New York and cycling to balance rock located at North Salem.This amazing rock are just beside the road before reach on township of North Salem.This rock are so mystery, till now not really knew who and why this rock are placing on this side.From geology points of view are just erratic rock from long time ago.But from logical view when at that side clearly not an simple just glacial ice movement.Walk around and spend sometimes to enjoy this rock, feel just wonderful and the tiredness of cycling and pain just gone like a magic.If this rock are at Asia region for sure will be very secret and holy to many people for cure illness.

It is amazing to see a gigantic boulder resting on very small rocks (at least in comparison to the boulder).
