The Mac-Haydn Theatre is dedicated to presenting and preserving musical theatre. Since 1969, The Mac-Haydn Theatre has been bringing musicals to life in a 350-seat theatre-in-the-round, where every seat is less than 30 feet from the stage. Professional actors and actresses come from across the country, bringing a wealth of experience from a wide variety of theatrical venues. Among the more famous Mac-Haydn alumni are Nathan Lane, Paige Turco and Frank Lopardo.Professional designers lead the theatre's costume and set shops. The theatre began in a barn on the Columbia County fairgrounds. Now, it is on a hill overlooking Chatham, New York.

Every production I've seen here has been top-notch. Today, it was West Side Story. The dancing and singing was beyond good. Paula Gaudier's voice is beautiful and she was perfect in the role. The entire cast was so impressive. Good job to everyone!!!

Charming country theater, easy parking,pleasant atmosphere. Worth a visit if in the area. It is in a beautiful area of NY state and good for touring and restaurants.

We have been to Mac-Haydn several times. Great little theatre in the round. Shows are always very professional and skillfuly done! Once a year we also bring a group of Seniors. Always request Mac-Haydn because of the quality of show and the accommodations!!

We have been coming to this theater in the round for many years. What a wonderful show we saw this year, Oklahoma. We have never been disappointed in any show that we have seen there . The talent is superb, and the music is wonderful. If you're in the area, maybe it a point to visit this wonderful summer stock theater.
