I dare you to leave this gallery without buying a work of art! The pieces -- and there are so many! -- are arranged beautifully and, what's more, the personnel are professional and very helpful. Best of all, they don't lurk. They let you look at your own pace, but are definitely available if you have questions. (If you are lucky, you'll be able to talk to Jim, the owner, who has an uncanny ability to suss out his clients' tastes.) Trust me, this is not one of those hoity-toity places where there are, like four pieces on the walls and you get frosty stares if you aren't a celebrity. But it's not a corny-red-barn-in-a-field place, either. The works here represent a wide, ever-changing range of media and styles. You are sure to fall in love -- and leave with -- at least one piece.

We stopped by Gallery On Main while checking out the charming town of Windham one afternoon while ski conditions weren't great. The staff was warm and welcoming, made us feel at home and were very knowledgeable about the different pieces. There was a great selection of traditional and contemporary works on display. Great place to find a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Highly recommend spending some time here.

She even suggested that we visit another nearby gallery. Very friendly and accommodating! We were there during a busy Irish Festival week, but the people were very cheerful!
