Dressel Farms Farm & Ranch

Our main business is growing apples for the fresh markets of the USA, Canada and overseas. We also have a retail operation and u-pick selling apples, our own fresh pressed cider, and seasonal crops such as strawberries, peaches, and pumpkins. Maintaining a farm this size is a year-round job. Winter months mean covering the strawberries beds, pruning the trees and packing the crop just picked. The spring brings planting, fence building and repair, continued apple packing and strawberries in June. July and August are planting, repairs, summer pruning and by early August-peach picking. And then we start all over again. These are just a few things that keep us busy. Add some harsh weather patterns to make life challenging!

Tim, Kettleborough Cider House, presented cider tasting to my family while we were staying at the Kettleboro Inn. Tim gave us lots of interesting information about apples and cider making. The ciders we tasted were delicious and of course several of us made purchases to take home. If you are in the area, I highly recommend a visit there!

Well organized courteous staff. After apple picking we went to the Kettleborough Cider House which is located at the back of the farm. We were able to spend many hours enjoying both properties. We had a very enjoyable day.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this Orchard with lots of apples, delicious honey crisp, Gala, golden delicious, Ida red varieties, didnt find any Macintosh left. Go down the hill towards the back to find the Golden delicious. After apple picking, you can walk to the Kettleborough ciderhouse and sample at least 5 different types of Hard cider. They have a real pretty spot with seating overlooking the orchards and mountainside, catch a sunset, just beautiful.

We came across Dressel just a little outside of New Paltz on our way to the B&B. We happily stocked up on delicious peaches and apples and fresh veggies on our way back home from our weekend getaway. The people who work there are very nice and helpful

This was a small, but fun place to visit. We were two couples with kids and it’s very kid friendly. The views are amazing, especially when looking at the fall foliage. The ciders are awesome and the flights are the way to go.
