The Dutchess County Historical Society is more of a research library as opposed to a full museum. Most people I saw that day were flipping through books in their library.They do have a selection of artifacts and portraits on display and some interesting Colonial pieces. You can see the whole collection on display in about a half hour and ask questions on them.The staff is really nice and the museum is free to enter.
