Living up to its mission to cultivate an appreciation for visual arts in the Duchess County, the center provides a point of rendezvous for artists and art lovers to view, exhibit, discuss, create and learn about art. The center also hosts various exhibitions and classes to help individual hone and boast their skills. The gallery is opened Wednesdays to Fridays between 10:00a and 4:00p, and on Saturdays by appointment only.

Reviews
tripadvisorThis is a fairly small institution and space, but a very active one. It features some local artist exhibits and some that are nationally curated. Very near the heart of downtown Poughkeepsie where there are very good restaurants. Good to visit before or after a meal, but check their schedule online. I do not think they are open Mon or Tues.
MoreI have to say I have driven past this Center for decades, going to and from the library, and have never stopped. Thanks to First Friday, a city of Poughkeepsie event to promote community exposure in the downtown area, I stopped by here. What a pleasant surprise. A small center in an eclectically designed building (stairs up and down were interesting), with a variety of artist displays. I will certainly watch now for upcoming openings of shows. Glad I stopped by!
